Straight into the groove again on Monday! Had castings scheduled and made time in between to do some sight seeing/gift seeking! I went to Brick Lane and checked out almost every vintage clothing shop that was open that day. I had found an app earlier that did online themed tours so I tried one of them out. The places it took me to were quite cool and I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't cheesy like I had thought it might be. The looking around though was honestly overwhelming and I didn't even know what to look at anymore at a certain point. I also stopped at Brick Lane Coffee shop! It was delicious and cool to see the history of that place. I also ran into some amazing stores selling old cameras. Like usual, I just wanted all of them. Those stores can be very dangerous for me…
On Wednesday I also did some looking around in between castings and finally went to see Buckingham Palace! It was a beautiful day (the sun was out YAY!) and walking through Green Park really let me soak in this whole experience. Such a wonderful walk through the park, and a beautiful sight to see. The Palace was mostly what I had imagined it to be from what I had seen of it on TV or the internet, just standing there and thinking about what I was in front of didn't feel real! It's a hard feeling to explain.

Thursday I had work woooo! I had a job for Odenn magazine and it was so different and fun! Not to mention that I got to transform into a completely different persona (as you will be able to understand when the issue comes out). I love that part about my job! I wore two different wigs, but only one of them (with different coloring) for the actual images. And the wig experience was a first. I definitely learned what I might or might not like as a hairstyle, that's for sure. The crew was amazing and it was a wonderful day of work!

When Friday came around I felt pretty good about having an eventful week but it still wasn't over! A couple weeks before leaving for London, a story on one of the morning shows came on about a London bakery that Starbucks was stealing one of their unique pastries called a "Duffin" which is a mix between a muffin and a donut. Anyways, I knew I had to go to the bakery so that's exactly what I did on Friday! I got myself some lunch and of course I had to try the duffin. They also were making chai/hot chocolate drinks which sounded intriguing so I got one of those as well. It was a delicious lunch out and as the bakery puts it, "Life is short. Eat more cake." The British museum is right around the corner from there so I went there after lunch and made an evening out of it. It was such a beautiful place and for me, being in museums and just admiring everything is one of my favorite things to do. I will always be content if I'm in a museum. I saw the typical museum stuff of course, saw some really cool Egyptian artifacts and tombs and my favorite part was one of the first wings of the museum that used to be King George III's Library. The room was simply beautiful. And huge! (Of course, he was King…)
I love taking advantage of being in an unknown place and I definitely think I succeed at that this week. It was a great one! I can't believe I only have one more week left. I'm kind of sad.
