Now that it’s the holiday season, as soon as I walk out the door I don't know what I'm getting myself into when going out to town. Not saying that I don’t love my weekends
or that I don’t like the holidays (that would be a HUGE lie) but I know if I go
anywhere to anything that involves shopping, that I would most likely find
myself amidst hundreds or thousands of other shoppers. This isn’t like Denver,
might I mention. This is London. British people like to shop, and I don’t blame
them because the endless shopping options are amazing. On Saturday before I had
a test shoot I went back to the Brick Lane area because they were having really
cool markets for the weekend! And I’m so glad I did go because I got some
lovely Christmas gifts. It was also cool to see all the antiques and vintage
clothing the markets had out. I’ve also never seen so much Vinyl in a little area
as I’ve seen here. One person told me that some people call part of the east
side of London the “Hipster” side and walking around I can see why. But I love
it, it was probably my favorite part of the city besides the areas on the
river.
The graffiti was amazing! After surviving the crowds shopping I made my
way to my shoot which was also fun getting there (except not) because nobody in
the area could tell me where this apartment complex was that I was trying to
find. So after walking one street about 5 times back and forth I finally found
it, and it was all good! It was nice getting to know the photographer as well
for I admire his work! We had a good talk about our own dogs and what he thinks
America is like, and then of course we took pictures, and then I finally went
home! Eat, sleep, and…. Do something different the next day! That’s the best
part.
Sunday I had a submission shoot for the day, and even though
the studio was freezing it was still an awesome job! I got to wear my hair
beehive style, put jewels on my face, and have rainbow lips which made me feel
straight out of Pinterest. The hairstylist was full of interesting comments as
well for the day, including “There’s a party on her eye, and I’m not even
invited.” I love when everyone at the shoot is in a great mood regardless of
the circumstances, because we were all freezing our feet off that’s for sure.
Just having a good time is so important!

Slowly but surely the other girls are leaving the flat and that’s when I know that its getting closer to me being home. I can’t believe it really! I’ve gotten used to my new daily life and surroundings. I still haven’t gotten used to not having a fireplace though….
