Week
number two! Already?
As
of Monday, I was no longer spoiled and guided around but was finally set out on
my own. Turns out it wasn’t such a bad thing, and so far I have survived the
huge and spread out city of London. I only had one casting for the day, which
was quite eventful because I walked into the office and they had told me they
just got robbed. So that was an awkward situation. And then I was free for the
rest of the day! I noticed across the way was a cool looking café/store thing
that happened to be Jamie Oliver’s (the cook and TV show guy) store and I was
glad I checked it out. Delicious food and delicious sweets were everywhere. I
got myself some meringue because they were basically calling my name and if
you look at the picture you’ll know why. I had never seen such a big meringue before in my life. (Top shelf in the photo)

After that, I had some lunch and after
an interesting conversation with a French college student I decided I would
finally do something that was on my “must-do” list for London and visit Abbey
Road. When I was walking there from the tube I honestly had no idea I was even
there besides the fact that I could obviously tell from all the tourists taking
pictures. It looks so different from the photo! And then I walked the famous
crosswalk. I met some very nice guys who were on the Vans Tour from New York that took my picture. Sometimes it's not so bad going places on your own because you always meet some interesting people with very cool stories!

My very first steps. |
The picture does not do it justice. |
Tuesday was a pretty easy day and only had a few castings in the morning, then a couple of the girls decided to go out to lunch and do whatever else we felt like. We ate at a place called Muriels café that had mostly local food. I had their homemade lasagna that was delicious and I have occasionally been craving it since I've been there, I also tried some shepards pie because I guess if you’re in London you have to try that at least once.
We went to Camden Market afterwards and
walked around the shopping areas and outdoor markets. It’s a really popular
place to visit in London and I didn’t even get to see the half of it I’m pretty
sure, so I’ll definitely be going back before I leave!
Wednesday
ended up being a pretty busy and late day, so besides running around the city
and having a very amusing experience during rush hour on the tube I didn’t do
much but relax once I got home! Not to mention that I cooked myself a delicious dinner. The others were jealous.
I was looking forward to Thursday because the agency had put together a model dinner for the girls, and because that meant delicious Italian food and getting out of the house, I couldn’t wait. The restaurant called Goat that we went to has a Gatsby themed night every Thursday which was so fun to be there for! They had dancers, 20’s style music, an old film playing, AND (the best part) they passed out flapper style headbands that we could wear. It was nice getting to know some of the other agents better and just simply having a fun night out. My pizza was also delicious and I didn't even have to make it myself, so I was a happy person.
Thursday
felt like Friday, but after Friday quickly came and gone, it was finally the weekend!
