I saved the best for last…

The rest of my last week was full of work, and I was so happy that it was! I had my first experience of working a showroom and that was an interesting one. For this job specifically, it was a showroom for shoes, so my job consisted of trying on hundreds of pairs of shoes for clients so they can decide whether or not they like the shoe. It was fun working with the other model for two days in a row as well as the ladies who hired me! Overall I had an exhausting and fun two days working.
I had one last job on Friday that I cannot wait to share with you! I will be posting the link when it is out, but that’s all you get to know for now.
And eventually only one day was left, which meant last minute gift day for me! But that’s okay because I love searching for things and coming across the unexpected! I found some awesome Christmas gifts as well. After shopping I went to Trafalgar Square for the first time. It was beautiful all decorated for the holidays as well as covered in flowers in memory of Nelson Mandela. It was cool being able to see Big Ben and other landmarks all from one place also! The National Gallery museum is in the square so I stopped there to take a look. Like I said before, I love museums. And art museums make the top of the list. A lovely last evening in London. Until, I got back to the flat…
I truly believe people have the capability of having a good heart. And every day that I see good, big or small, I see how contagious it can be. When I got back from shopping I realized that I forgot my keys. The ONLY time I had ever forgotten them and I just happened to be the last one to leave the flat, which meant that there was nobody else inside to let me in. So. I sat outside, hoping that my agents could help me figure something out, and just when it started to rain I was taken in by the neighbors. They offered me a warm place to stay, tea, and even invited me to have dinner with their family. Ultimately it was a blessing that they noticed me sitting on the steps outside the house and took me in, because they were the ones who were able to go through the back and unlock the flat. So long story short, I was saved from the pouring rain, my agents were the best trying to figure something out for me, I was fed a delicious dinner, and I was surrounded by some great company. Thank you to my neighbors for the hospitality!
People are good.
I got all packed the night before, and in the morning I did one last adventure. I took a quick trip to a close by cemetery that was one of the oldest in London. And as weird as it may sound, it was really a beautiful place! Creepy because there was a sign explain that graves could collapse and to stay on the main road, but mostly beautiful and I took a lot of pictures on my Yashica.
Then, it all came to an end. But it’s okay because I will be back again soon London. You’ve treated me well and taught me so much, and as my cousin puts it, “It’s been real. It’s been fun. It’s been real fun.”
Until next time!
